Organization Detail

The Suzuki Association of Wisconsin offers programs for students, parents and teachers from across the State of Wisconsin. We host a winter retreat every other year in Madison that provides instruction for students, lectures for parents and teachers and several social events for all. The unique aspect of this retreat is that, in addition to bringing in several “headliners,” about 30 Suzuki teachers volunteer to teach 1-2 classes at the retreat. Volunteer teachers get their tuition waived for the event so it is a win-win situation. On the alternating years, the SAW sponsors a teacher training event. This has been either the SPA course or the ECC course. On these years, students can attend workshops at sites across the state. These local workshops are publicized on our website to promote local events. Finally, the SAW offers teacher training scholarships.
