We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and well-trained educator to join our school based in Allendale, Austin, TX. Work alongside a skilled and passionate team to bring the joy of music to your students within a school of 5 teachers, 100+ students, and a strong sense of community. Living and performing in Austin

Austin is a friendly place with lots to offer. There are many cute walkable neighborhoods near our school. Barton Springs Pool is a must during the summer, and the weather in fall and spring is so pleasant! There are so many restaurants – something for everyone! When our teachers aren’t teaching, they enjoy performing regularly at weddings/events and subbing with the Austin Symphony and Ballet.

Duties:

You must be comfortable scheduling, planning, and teaching lessons using the Suzuki method while preparing students aged 3+ to meet their personal and school goals. In addition to your regular teaching and event hours, you will be willing to attend your students’ recitals and short, semimonthly coordination sessions. You must be available for and responsive to routine communications. There may be the option to teach additional classes and summer camps.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master of Music in Performance or Music Education

Suzuki training (through Bk. 4+ desirable)

Teaching experience

Clear and responsive communicator

Reliable and punctual

Well organized

Current documentation to legally work in the United States

Salary:

Work ~ 18-20 hrs/wk.
$57 per hour – Private Lessons & Events
$65 per hour – group class
$20 per coordination session
