This course prepares participants to teach the most advanced stage of the Suzuki violin sequence, including Mozart’s Concerto in G Major and a comprehensive review of repertoire from across the entire method. Participants examine how to guide students through this culminating stage, integrating all techniques and skills developed in earlier units.

Participants learn to refine tone, phrasing, and technical mastery at a fully advanced level, along with the interpretive judgment needed for standard concert repertoire. The course covers how to structure a thorough review of earlier repertoire, identifying and reinforcing any gaps in technique or musicality before students move beyond the Suzuki sequence.

Participants also learn to guide students through the transition toward independent, professional-level musicianship, and how to troubleshoot the technical and interpretive challenges that arise at this culminating stage, while keeping instruction encouraging and well-paced. Taught as a single review-level unit, Units 9 & 10 consolidate skills built throughout the entire method.
