Violin Unit 3

Prerequisites: Completion of Suzuki Philosophy Course, Book 2 Training, and Teaching Strategies.

The Suzuki Violin Book 3 course is designed for teachers who have completed the first two levels of Suzuki training and wish to expand their understanding of intermediate-level repertoire and teaching strategies.

This course emphasizes the development of musical phrasing, shifting, vibrato preparation, tone quality, and dynamic control. Teachers work on deepening their approach to review techniques, refining posture and setup, and supporting students in the transition toward greater musical independence.

Participants study each piece in detail, exploring technical points, musical interpretation, and layered learning sequences that help maintain motivation and engagement. The course also reinforces the importance of the triangle relationship (student–teacher–parent) and the role of listening and daily practice.
