Revisiting Book 1

Revisiting Book 1 is a Suzuki enrichment course designed for violin and viola teachers who have previously trained in Suzuki Book 1 and are looking to deepen their understanding and teaching strategies. This course offers an in-depth look at the foundational pieces, techniques, and philosophy in Book 1, with a focus on tone development, posture, early technique, and creating a strong start for students and parents. It encourages reflection, refinement, and renewed inspiration in teaching the beginning stages of the Suzuki journey.
Prerequisites:
- Earn the course credential for Every Child Can! or Filosofia
- Earn the course credential for Violin or Viola Unit 1
- Minimum of One Year of Suzuki Teaching Experience using the Suzuki Method
This course will be delivered part online and part in person. Please check the dates carefully. June 23-27 will be in person for one hour a day at Colby College. Teachers must attend 100% of the classes to receive credit from the SAA. If an online session is missed, teachers can arrange privately with the instructor for a make up at an additional cost.
Enrollment

Cancelations and Refunds
- All transactions are final and non-refundable.
- Any emergency cancellation requests must be received in writing, [email protected], no later than one month prior to the start of the event.
- Credit card processing and platform fees will not be refunded under any circumstance.
