Piano Unit 2

Prerequisites: Completion of Suzuki Philosophy Course and Book 1 Training.

The Suzuki Piano Book 2 course is intended for teachers who have completed Book 1 training and are ready to continue their pedagogical journey through more musically and technically demanding repertoire.

The course provides a thorough study of each piece in Book 2, focusing on the development of tone production, hand position, balance, phrasing, posture, and musical expression. Teachers also explore strategies for review, motivation, and developing independence in students while reinforcing the foundational elements of Suzuki philosophy.

Special attention is given to parent involvement, sequencing of skills, and the integration of listening, imitation, and repetition in daily practice. This interactive course encourages reflective teaching and performance, and is recognized by the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), taught by a registered Teacher Trainer.
