Borealis Suzuki Institute

The Schoen Duo Studio, with assistance from the Edmonton Suzuki Flute & Recorder Society and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, is the host of the Borealis Suzuki Institute.

Suzuki Recorder Unit 1: DATES TBA

• Trainer: Kathleen Schoen
• One class per week over eight weeks on Sunday afternoons (excluding holidays)
• Both live and pre-recorded lessons on demand available for observation

Suzuki Recorder Unit 5: DATES TBA

• Trainer: Mary Halvorsen Waldo
• Daily classes for five days
• Both live and pre-recorded lessons on demand available for observation

Suzuki Recorder Unit 2: DATES TBA

• Trainer: Kathleen Schoen
• Daily classes for five days
• Both live and pre-recorded lessons on demand available for observation

Teaching Strategies for Recorder and Flute: DATES TBA

• Trainer: Kathleen Schoen
• Daily classes over two days
• Recommended after Unit 2 – new pre-requisite for Unit 3
• Demonstration lessons required – either with live student in class or pre-recorded in advance from your own studio
