Getting Started
- To host a Suzuki event as a sponsor, become a member of the SAA as an organization, or as an individual.
- When you’re ready to host your event, write to us at info@suzukiassociation.org, and we’ll set up your account so you can create and host events.
- Submit the online workshop application through the Events Page. This page requires access authorized by the SAA. Please note that you’ll need to complete steps 1 & 2 in order gain access to the event submission page.
- All events must be submitted six weeks before the start date. Suzuki Teacher Training events take place between September – May of each year. Teacher Training events occurring June through August are subject to Institute Guidelines.
Following these steps will allow for your course to give participants a registrable credit, and will allow for your course to be advertised via the SAA website. We encourage you to submit early to allow for effective reviewal time and advertising.
Workshop Requirements
You’ll want to get to know rules and processes for SAA coursework, which we refer to as Workshops. Make sure your team, and anyone wishing to attend your workshop follows all protocols for Audition Guidelines, and Teacher Development Guidelines. You or the Teacher Trainer you work with will need to know prior to the course start who has qualified for it via the audition process, and who has yet to do so. This will effect participants’ transcripts as either participants or auditors.
Your application must meet the requirements found in the current Teacher Development Program Guidelines , which apply to Teacher Courses:
- Unit 1 short-term courses must be 8 days long, with 28 hours of class time and 15 hours of observation
- Unit 2 and beyond short-term courses must be 5 days in length with 15 hours of class time and 8 hours of observation
