Kay Collier McLaughlin was for many years a Teacher Trainer and teacher, founder of the Lexington Talent Education Association in Lexington, KY, and the author of the book They’re Rarely Too Young and Never Too Old to Twinkle: teaching insights into the world of beginning Suzuki violin. She holds a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The Union Institute with sub-specialities in single adult development, leadership development, group dynamics and bereavement. She is a Human Relations Trainer and Consultant who teaches, lectures and consults across the United States and in numerous systems and countries. She served as Deputy for Communications and Leadership Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington until her retirement,, a Senior trainer for the Leadership Training Institute and a member of the board and trainer for the Human Relations/Emotional Intelligence Institute of Washington, DC. She is pesently a church consultant specializing in search/ transition consulting and conflict resolution and leads seminars on her latest book, Talking Together:,Getting Beyond Polarization Through Civil Dialogue.
