Viola Unit 2 + Teaching Strategies

Viola Unit 2 and Strategies will be taught concurrently.

Teaching Strategies is designed to support and guide teacher participants in how to become more effective in their teaching. Strategies will reinforce the positive aspects and offer constructive feedback on each participant’s lessons. In Jan 2025, Teaching Strategies will be required before enrolling in Unit 3.

Each participant brings 2 recordings of 6-10 minutes each. At least one of the recordings should be of an individual lesson. Since Teaching Strategies is incorporated in a Unit 2 course, the repertoire in the recording should be from book 1.

Classes will be held on Fridays.  The following dates and times include both Viola Unit 2 and Teaching Strategies:

11/8, 11/15,  8:00-11am

11/22 8:00 am -1:15pm

12/6, 12/13  8:00 am-12:30 pm.

1/3 8: 00 am -1:00 pm

ECC or Filosofia
Viola Basic, Intermediate, or Comprehensive Audition or Violin Basic, Intermediate, or Comprehensive Audition
Viola Unit 1 or Violin Unit 1
