Searching for the Living Soul in Tone

June 28 - June 29

$300.00

We have all heard Dr. Suzuki’s quote “Tone has a living soul.” Does it? How do we find it? As musicians and teachers, we have all surely experienced a concert, a sound, or a moment that touched us and makes this quote ring true.

Join SAA registered teacher trainer Kirsten Marshall as we pursue this idea together.  This 10-hour enrichment course is being offered in person.

We will discuss the principles in the Suzuki philosophy; tracing tone development embedded in the repertoire, paired with the matching techniques to achieve them.

Through Interactive demonstrations we will delve into the complexities of moving from the beginner’s “diamond tone” to the concert stage. Designed to be both informative and playful, this course is meant for both new and seasoned teachers alike.

You must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page to the enrollment box, click “+1”, then click “get tickets”. Follow the process to enroll – you will not be charged any course fees, so proceed without worry.

You will receive an email confirmation after signing up. You can verify your enrollment from your profile under Upcoming Courses.

Follow the directions in your confirmation email to complete payment.

If you do not see the Enrollment box at the bottom of the page, first check your membership status here  (the link will first ask you to log in if you aren’t already logged in). Then return to this page and refresh.
