This Suzuki Teacher Enrichment Course is the only one of its kind.

The course’s pedagogic emphasis on 21st Century Teaching Tools is intentional in connecting Suzuki teachers with concepts and strategies not currently addressed in instrument-focused unit training. This includes such areas as: teaching for today’s context, the role of curriculum models, and the strategy of reflective partnership teaching The course’s purpose is to ask new questions and broaden Suzuki teachers scope of knowledge and experience.

Specifically designed for all instrumental and vocal Suzuki teachers, this course will help you to confidently navigate the challenges of 21st-century music studio teaching – while staying rooted in the nurturing principles that define the Suzuki approach. Whether you’re an experienced or novice Suzuki teacher, the goal of Expand Your Suzuki Foundation is to broaden your teaching approach by interweaving foundational elements of Suzuki teaching with today’s most effective teaching tools and strategies.
The following timely themes provide structure for this course:
  • 21st Century Teaching Mindset – Five aspects that anchor and inspire today’s teachers.
  • Curriculum Models – Bring adaptability to your teaching with our unique Curriculum Models.
  • Communication – Examine the various steps of two-way communication.
  • Practicing Principles – We use neuroscience research to inform our practicing strategies.
  • Real Life Families – Learn how to work with parents through flexible interactions.
  • Listening – Find out more about this Suzuki cornerstone.
Please note, the total fee is $149.00 CAD tuition (payable to the instructor)  and $20.00 USD SAA registration fee (payable here below).

Scroll down to the bottom of this page to the enrollment box, click “+”, then click “get tickets”. You’ll be charged $20 USD to reserve your seat and cover the cost of your SAA registration fee. 

After getting tickets below, you’ll receive a confirmation email from the SAA. You’ll also receive an email with links to pay the remaining $149 CAD by e-transfer (Canada only) or credit/debit card (Canada and international).
