Cello Teaching Strategies
April 30 - May 28
$300.00This 10-hour course is designed to guide teacher participants to become more effective teachers.
While teachers at all levels of experience can benefit from participating in a Teaching Strategies course, it is a prerequisite course for Unit 3.
Each participant will submit a minimum of 2 recordings of 6-10 minutes each. At least one of the recordings should be of an individual lesson.
Repertoire may be from any unit the teacher has registered training.
Class sessions are similar to a “pedagogy masterclass” where up to 10 participants watch the recordings together and discuss the teaching style and effectiveness. There is no observation. Some submit their most effective lessons; some submit their challenging lessons. We all enjoy the different styles of presentation and learn from each other.
You must register 100% attendance in the course to receive credit with the SAA.
You must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster.
