My daughter is eight y/o. I just bought an acoustic guitar for her as her grades present. I bought the book Suzuki, guitar school vol1 guitar part 1 revised edition but seem not the only thing she needs to start learning guitar by herself. What other method or resources should a get for her?
Thanks in advance, Jessica

Find her a private teacher; it will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.

I looked for teachers around and there is none. I’m trying to find a DVD lesson teaching with Suzuki method but I couldn’t. Is there any DVD or video that I can buy for her?…

If you can’t find a suzuki guitar teacher ,find a piano or violin teacher in the area, they may know one.

I started teaching guitar just recently, and on my studio page for guitar I have the following which you might find helpful:

Also, under Print out, there is a lot of great, free, beginning music under the “First Steps” link.

There’s no Suzuki guitar teacher, here, either, so I worked through the first two Suzuki books, the Fast Track materials, the “First Steps” printout, and read Pumping Nylon and The Guitar Handbook. The next step after that are the Noad books, which are excellent. I’m practicing three or four hours a day myself.
