In an institute I have heard that there is a story that goes with the Martini Gavotte that helps students learn it and not get into a circle of playing. Can someone please let me know what that story is. Thanks so much.

I use the story of Nellie Olsen from the tv show Little House On The Prairie and the book “On the Banks Of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder. 6 kids are standing around Nellie:

A section: “I’ve got candy nanu nanu na! . . .
B section: That child knows Nellie so he has an attitude and tells the kids to give up and leave. He keeps repeating almost the same thing over and over.
C section: She is the little sister, starts on E4 and plays section with d#
D section: That kid starts out whining and ends up mocking “I’ve got candy!”
E section: She is the big sister, starts on E4 and plays section with f#
F section: Is Nells, talking sense into Nellie for once

and song ends with A section, Nellie never learns.
