Teaching Opportunity in the Beautiful Comox Valley

This might come across as a little weird as I don’t own a studio or anything, but I’m giving it a shot, anyway…. I live in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. It is a beautiful area to live in with easy access to outdoor activities (even skiing), a 1 1/2 hour drive to the ferry that goes to Vancouver, and full of friendly people. Flights from our airport go directly to Vancouver (25 minutes), Edmonton and Calgary. Although we are a community of roughly 35,000 people, there is an amazing arts scene here including a community orchestra, an active fiddle group, various choirs and musical theatre groups. We are also home to CYMC (Courtenay Youth Music Camp). However there is a real shortage of violin/viola/cello teachers! I have no doubt that a violin teacher who moved here could easily have a full studio within a year. Being able to teach fiddle would be an added bonus but not essential although I would hope that a potential teacher would at least be open to their students playing fiddle music. If there’s anyone out there who is thinking about relocating feel free to contact me and I can give you more information. Please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested. TIA!
