Does anyone know of a good viola scale book. I like the Galamian method for violin. I would like something similar for viola. 1st, 3rd, and 5th positions. Thank you.

I believe the Galamian scale system is available in a version transcribed & edited for viola.

Yes the Galamian scale system is available for viola.. so is the Carl Flesch scale system available for viola.. I have used them both for my viola and violin students http://www.sharmusic.com/Sheet-Music/Viola/Etudes-47-Studies/Galamian-Ivan—Galamian-Scale-System—Viola—arranged-and-edited-by-Karen-Olson—EC-Schirmer-Edition.axd#sthash.Ygeh0Mo9.dpbs

Barbara Barbers scale book for violin has been transposed for viola. Look for “Scales for Advanced Violists”
