Does anyone know of a website or link to go to so that my new students may learn more about the Suzuki Method and what we are all about. I have a 12 minute VHS but no CD. I’d like to keep it short and sweet since people are always so busy. If they could view it online that would be great. Please let me know if you know of any such link or DVD that I could purchase that isn’t too long.
Thank you,

I have a few items on my blog: is a series of articles called Environment for Learning a Musical Instrument and a video on Being the Parent of a Music Student which is pretty fun and serious at the same time!

Virginia, what is the 12 minute VHS that you have? Is it an official SAA product? Where did you get it? The “Nurtured by Love” Documentary is available in DVD format from the “store” portion of this website, but it’s a lot longer than 12 minutes! Perhaps you could show parts of that DVD to your studio parents, little by little at each lesson over a period of several months.

I smell a “popcorn play in!” The kids play and parents have popcorn and watch DVD in the next room. Popcorn figures prominently during all parts of the event!

The twelve minute video is an official Suzuki video. I purchased it from the association many years ago. I love it. It’s short and sweet. I also have the 45 minute version but would like a DVD in shorter version.

I am looking for the same kind of video, I think. I just found one on youtube you might want to look at. Search for “What is the Suzuki Violin Method”. 5 minutes
