Suzuki Early Childhood Education — Stage One Teacher Training (In Person)

The SECE Stage One Teacher Training Course is an in-person, hands-on introduction to teaching Suzuki Early Childhood Education general music classes for babies, toddlers, and their families. This friendly, supportive course welcomes educators and musicians who want to learn how to create joyful, nurturing class environments grounded in Dr. Suzuki’s belief that every child can learn.

Participants explore the foundations of the SECE curriculum and practice teaching strategies that help very young children develop readiness, confidence, cooperation, and musical understanding. Teachers also learn how to guide and support parents as essential partners in the learning process. The course includes observation of live classes, opportunities to lead songs and rhymes, play Orff instruments, and participate in hands-on teaching experiences within the demonstration classes.

By the end of the in-person course, participants leave feeling encouraged, inspired, and equipped with practical tools to begin offering SECE classes in their own communities.

Fee includes SECE Stage 1 Course Manual and course materials

Participants with their own children age 0-4 are welcome to bring their children to the baby/toddler demonstration classes. Childcare is available during teacher lecture hours.
