Presented with dual-delivery (Some take course fully online, some take it fully in-person).

This course has 28 hours of instruction – it is mandatory that participants attend 100% of instruction hours live to receive credit.

In addition to the 28 course hours, participants do 15 hours of observations of group classes and lessons.  For participants in person in Newfoundland, this will be offered live at the Institute, for anyone attending online, video links will be provided.

Tuition: $750 USD/$1025 CAD + $20 USD collected on this page.

You must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster and pay the nonrefundable $20 deposit, below.

  • Describe your teaching & performing experience on the instrument.

After you join the roster,  you can verify your enrollment status from your profile. You’ll also receive an email with links to pay the remaining tuition by e-transfer (Canada only) or credit/debit card (Canada and international). Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.

NL Time  - 12:45pm-3:45pm, and 5:00pm-6:00pm


Atlantic Time - 12:15pm-3:15pm, and 4:30pm-5:30pm


Eastern Time - 11:15am-2:15pm, and 3:30pm-4:30pm


Mountain Daylight Time - 9:15am-12:15pm, and 1:30pm-2:30pm




Monday June 29th to Thurs July 2nd - 3.5 hours instruction each day






NL Time  - 1:30pm-5:30pm


Atlantic Time - 1:00pm-5:00pm


Eastern Time - 12:00pm-4:00pm


Mountain Daylight Time - 10:00am-2:00pm






Friday July 3rd - no class time




Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th -  5 hours instruction each day
