Cello Teaching Strategies

Teaching Strategies is required to continue with book 3 training. You can take it after Unit 1 or 2.

This course will be held from 8:30 to 11am Chicago time (CST/CDT) on 4 days: Feb 23, March 23, 30 and April 27. The cost is $100 and the maximum in the class is 9.

The point of this course is to assess teaching. Each person submits 2 ten-minute videos of teaching for about an hour of viewing and discussion. I have taught this course many times and the enrollees come away energized with realizing the many styles that are effective and a game plan to refine their own presentations. If you don’t have a class, you can participate with a video as a practice partner for a young cellist. This course is designed to give time to work on concepts between presentations.
