Violin Unit 2

Prerequisites: ECC and Violin or Viola Unit 1, plus an audition

Supplies needed: Suzuki Violin Volume 2 (book and recording)

Violin Unit 2 includes performance of the repertoire, supervised observation, discussion, and completion of assignments as given by the Teacher Trainer. In addition to the focus on Suzuki repertoire and instrumental technique, Unit 2 may include other topics such as review and application of Suzuki philosophy, parent involvement, listening, home practice, private and group lesson formats, learning styles, learning by ear, note- reading, studio setup, and other skills basic to the Suzuki approach.

Participants will be playing the repertoire in class and should know it to the point of fluent performance.
