The SAA, in partnership with Alfred Music, seeks to encourage, honor, and celebrate teachers aged 35 or younger at our upcoming conference in San Francisco! We ask that Teacher Trainers submit 1-3 names of teacher(s) for consideration. We request your recommendation by November 3, 2025. A committee made up of members of the Board of Directors, and of the SAA will review all recommendations, and select applicants based on the criteria listed below.
We will announce Distinguished Young Teachers in February, 2026 at the SAA Biennial Conference in San Francisco. We kindly request that you do not notify your nominee prior to receiving a confirmation from the SAA. Awardees will be notified of their award ahead of the conference.
Eligibility
Nominees should:
- Be an Active Member in good standing with the SAA
- Exemplify the theory and practice of the Suzuki Method
- Have registered training with the SAA
- Embrace and exemplify the SAA’s mission
How to make a recommendation:
Nominations must be submitted by a Teacher Trainer. Use the link below to submit your nominee. You will need:
- Your name and email address (recommender’s basic information)
- Nominee’s name, location, email address, and a description of why you are nominating them
