Piano Unit 2 and Teaching Strategies

Taught by Hillary Nordwell, this course focuses on the skills and repertoire taught in Suzuki Piano Book 2, as well as a continued focus on the Suzuki Philosophy. This Book 2 course features an additional 10 hours of Teaching Strategies, where participants will bring a video of their own teaching and/or teach an in-person student receiving feedback to help them further develop their practical teaching skills. Masterclass observation (of teachers Caroline Fraser and Hillary Nordwell) is included in the course.

Piano Unit 1 is a pre-requisite to this course, as is an audition, and participants are strongly encouraged to memorize all the music of Book 2 prior to the course, in order to reap the greatest benefit.
