Teaching Strategies for Bass, Cello, Viola, and Violin

We all learn best when we observe and collaborate with one another. We are very excited to offer Teaching Strategies to all string teachers so that we can gain insights from a wide variety of teaching videos and discussions. The course is taught by cello trainer, Heather Hadley.

Participants will need to have 10-20 minutes of teaching videos to share with the class. These can be individual lessons, master classes, or group classes. Bring your questions and ideas about teaching- this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how you can improve your teaching effectiveness. Please have your videos available on an online drive so that you can access it easily for the class.

We are also offering it both online and in person so that folks and join in whatever capacity works best for their schedule.

Saturday, June 21, 2:00-5:00pm

Sunday, June 22, 10:00-12:00pm and 2:00-5:00pm

Friday, June 27, 1:00-3:00pm

 

The goal with this schedule is to do much of the discussions and observations in the first weekend, then have time to join another teacher training class during the week (Cello Unit 2, Viola Unit 3, or Violin Unit 5), then end the week with two final hours to debrief on Friday afternoon.
