From Structure to Spontaneity: Mastering Suzuki Group Lessons

Multi-Step Signup

January 16, 2025 - February 16, 2025

$300.00
Presented online.
This course will meet online via Zoom on January 16, 23, 30, and February 6 from 11 AM-1:30 PM Central Time.
In this 10-hour Enrichment Course, we’ll explore the structure, flow, and creative possibilities that make group classes not only educational but also genuinely enjoyable and inspiring for students at every level.

We’ll share ideas to help you create a group environment where each student can learn from their peers, practice ensemble skills, and build confidence—all while having fun!

Throughout this course, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Experience Real NTSTE Group Classes: We’ll share videos of our own NTSTE group sessions so you can see these methods in action. From structured lesson plans to spontaneous musical activities, you’ll observe and reflect on ways to elevate your own classes.

Dive into Practical Techniques for Planning and Management: We’ll discuss everything from finding venues, tuition structure, and curriculum planning to organizing group recitals and creating events that motivate your students. You’ll leave with practical strategies for keeping classes structured, interactive, and focused on building skills like rhythm, ensemble playing, and confident performance.

Foster a Collaborative Community: As part of this course, you’ll connect with other Suzuki teachers, share ideas, and learn new ways to keep group classes fresh and engaging. Expect lively discussions and the chance to exchange ideas with colleagues.

Learn Techniques to Manage Behavior and Keep Classes Flowing: Managing a group of young learners brings unique challenges, but also rewarding opportunities for growth and teamwork. We’ll offer tools and techniques to help you maintain a positive classroom dynamic and foster an inclusive environment for all students.

This course is designed to provide support whether you’re present for live sessions or need to catch up with recorded lessons on your own schedule. And for those seeking SAA registration credit, attending all 10 hours live will qualify you for SAA requirements.

If you’re ready to refresh and enhance your group lesson strategies, we invite you to join us. Our goal is to make each class a place of shared learning and growth, and to help you bring renewed energy and excitement to your students’ group experience in 2025!

We look forward to welcoming you to this engaging, hands-on course!
