Wheaton College (Illinois) seeks an accomplished administrator to serve as the director of the Community School of the Arts (CSA). The director is charged with leading the comprehensive offerings of the CSA, providing leadership and management oversight for all aspects of CSA operations. This full-time, 9-month position (40 hrs/wk, 9 months/yr) reports to the Dean of the Division of Arts and Communication. Current CSA programming includes the Suzuki Program, Chamber Music, Preparatory Program, Early Childhood Program, Special Needs Music Instruction, Performing Groups, Summer Programs, Community Outreach for Developing Artists (CODA) and more.
Duties:
The director is responsible for CSA recruitment, retention, finance, faculty evaluation, supervision, and planning.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include experience in arts administration, a master’s degree, strong interpersonal skills, and successful music teaching experience.
Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
