Suzuki Music Columbus Summer Institute is…
A summer camp June 13—18, 2011 that is for Suzuki families as well as advanced traditional students. The Summer Institute is a week-long opportunity for Suzuki music students, their families, teachers and faculty to be a part of concentrated study that compliments the work that goes on in studios and homes throughout the year. Lessons and classes are given for violin, viola and cello, including classes for the Twinkle and PreTwinkle students. Repertoire classes, ensembles, play-ins, student and faculty performances, are all part of the Summer Institute experience. Musicianship classes develop music literacy, and the string orchestras and ensembles further develop musical abilities. Enrichment classes offered, such as jazz improv and fiddle, round out the week. Social activities and events build friendships between young musicians, families, and music educators from around the country, and even the world.
