Piano teacher

Our growing Suzuki program is the only one within convenient distance, has several Suzuki violin teachers but only one for Suzuki piano, and we need to offer more options.

Duties: Teach students all ages from beginners on up, with possibility of more advanced students and/or chamber music coaching if desired. Willingness to teach both Suzuki and non-Suzuki students a plus. Possible opportunity to teach or develop both Suzuki and non-Suzuki group classes, if desired. Days TBD.

SUZUKI STRINGS VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR

Description: Levine Music is pleased to announce a part-time position for a violin instructor in the Suzuki Strings Department.

Duties: Levine Music is looking for applicants interested in and prepared to join a team of mutually supportive and collaborative teachers with a diversity of pedagogical approaches. This postition offers at least (5) hours of private teaching per week over the academic year to begin with and has the potential to grow to full time. The instructor must be flexible to teach at any of the five of Levine’s campuses in the Washington DC area, with the intention of adding more days/hours in the future.

Qualifications: Applicants should possess BM in Performance of Education, MM in Performance or Education preferred. Applicants should have registered training in the Suzuki Method through Book 4, have a dedication to and understanding of the Suzuki philosophy, and have teaching experience with children of all ages. (Applicants with less Suzuki training may be considered if they are highly qualified in other areas and willing to continue training, observation and mentoring.) Group class teaching experience is a plus.

Salary: Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.

Violin Teacher or Violin/Viola/Cello Teacher

Location: St. John's, NL

Description: The Suzuki Talent Education Program in St. John’s has been going strong for over 30 years. We are growing, and two of our teachers are leaving at the end of the year, so we need a new teacher to join our wonderful program! Our program offers lessons in violin, viola, and cello.

Duties: Teaching private students afternoons-evenings approximately 3-4 days per week, with the possibility of expanding to 5. Also group-class teaching on alternate Saturday mornings. Participation in concerts and teachers’ meetings. Teachers are also able to teach students they find on their own.

Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor of Music degree.
Preferably able to teach violin AND cello/viola.
Suzuki training minimum Book 3 violin.
Ability to interact with young pre-twinklers.
Preferably with at least 2 years teaching experience, both private and group lessons.

Salary: Private teaching fees are up to individual teachers. Group classes/concerts are between $45-60 an hour, based on qualifications.

Suzuki Violin Teacher

Description: The Greenwich Suzuki Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Violin Teacher to join our close-knit faculty of 10. Suzuki Violin Instructor
