Ruth Boisvert-Blair began her musical journey from her earliest moments with her parents singing to her daily, just for the joy of it. She followed in their footsteps and could soon be seen as a toddler sitting on the steps, singing to the world around her. At 7 she began piano lessons, and each time her family moved, a search was on for a piano teacher in the new area. She began hearing about Suzuki and his philosophy, or method, as some call it, from another student while she was in college. In 2000, Ruth obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Performance with honours/distinction from McGill University. Since then she has continued her training regularly through select teachers, institutes and workshops. Ruth now lives and teaches in Ile-Perrot, Québec.
