Zeida is a certified Suzuki violin teacher since 2010. Other trainings include “Despertar Musical” (early childhood music education curriculum) and “El Sistema” teaching methods. She has held several leadership roles in the field of music education at the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Puerto Rico. At the Conservatory she held de position of Dean of the Preparatory School and “Director of Musica 100×35″ (El Sistema inspired program).

As founder and board member of Fundacion Gisela, Zeida lead a series of important endeavors to disseminate the Suzuki Philosophy in Puerto Rico and Domincan Republic through teacher trainings, workshops and community outreach events. She currently volunteers for the “Asociación de Violín Suzuki” de Puerto Rico and has been a Suzuki parent for the last seven years.

Zeida began studying the violin at age 10 at the Special String Program for Children of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. She continued her studies at the Escuela Libre de Música Ernesto Ramos Antonini with Jaime Medina, and at the university level with José “Pepito” Figueroa and Dan Rizner. She has been a member of the Arturo Somohano Philharmonic Orchestra and founder member of the “Camerata Filarmónica”, Porta Coeli String Quartet and Cuatro Lunas ensemble. She studied Violin Performance at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree, specializing in Music and Business Administration at DePauw University in Indiana. She carried out her graduate studies in Teachers College Columbia University, completing a Master’s Degree in arts administration.
