Teaching Philosophy
As a teacher and mentor, I strive to inspire and motivate students to enjoy and appreciate the music they create in a stress-free and encouraging environment. To accomplish that, I believe that the student must develop a healthy foundation from the first lesson to prevent long-term injuries. With a solid foundation, they can build upon their techniques to learn new concepts and pieces more easily. In addition, I find it very important that students eventually learn to become critical thinkers to efficiently problem-solve as they actively listen to and observe their playing in order to become more independent and better themselves by learning to use their own judgment.
