Teaching Philosophy

When I teach, each student receives the full focus of my energy and my attention. For the beginners, I firmly teach to build a solid technical foundation which enables the students to have secure technical control over the instrument and allow them to have the freedom to focus on the music and its interpretation. Part of my teaching strategy is to also teach students how to evaluate and solve problems on their own, so they can be more productive during their individual practice sessions. I require daily practice!
I devote much of my time and energy to create as many performing opportunities as possible for my students. A performace experience in front of people is very important and valuable because it allows for young artists to gain technical control, a desire to play violin better and confidence.
