Wing Lau holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory with a secondary focus on Piano Performance from the University of Oregon and a M.M. in Piano Performance from the Indiana University Bloomington. As an active pianist, Wing has appeared in masterclasses with Emanuel Ax and Midori Gotō, and in concerts with Oregon Bach Collegium. Her piano mentors include Evelyn Brancart, André De Groote, Dean Kramer, Claire Wachter, and David Riley.

Wing has seventeen years of piano teaching experience and has worked with students of all ages. She has taught individual lessons, studio classes, beginning class piano, and advanced keyboard skills classes. She is a former piano instructor at Lane Community College, Eugene Piano Academy, and the pre-college program at the Indiana University. She has also been awarded a piano teaching assistantship during her doctoral study at the Universiy of Oregon, where she taught college music majors. Wing firmly believes in the mother tongue approach of the Suzuki method and is dedicated to creating an engaging and positive learning environment.

Wing is also an Instructor and collaborative pianist at the University of Arkansas. Prior to her position at UA, she was an adjunct instructor at the University of Oregon.
