A desire to learn the violin began at the age of 3 when watching the Boston Pops perform with a solo violinist on PBS, and only grew from there. She received her first violin and started lessons at the age of 4.

Tresann’s father was in the Air Force which required her family to move around during Tresann’s younger years. This allowed her the opportunity to learn from many different teachers. She also performed with school orchestras and community youth orchestras when they were available to her.

She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Music in String Pedagogy and Violin Performance . As well as completing her long-term Suzuki Training certification, for which she studied with the world-renowned teacher/teacher-trainer Susan Kempter.

Tresann has studied with Tammy Linn, Maria Ariasgago, Vernon Ashcraft, Heide Hille, Dr. Frank Spinosa, Dr. William Magers, Susan Kempter, and Dr. Carmelo de los Santos.
