Mr. Tim Allison

Tim Allison holds a Bachelor of Music from Virginia Commonwealth University. While attending VCU, he was the first recipient of the Jesus Silva Merit Scholarship. He has studied guitar with John Patykula and Jeff Meyerriecks and has performed in master classes for Dusan Bogdanovic, David Russell, Larry Snitzler, and Jesus Silva. Mr. Allison has attended many Suzuki teacher-training workshops and is registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas for Every Child Can, Books 1 through 7 as well as Books 2 through 8 Overview. He is the Director of the Alexandria Suzuki Guitar Institute and currently teaches using the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki at Tim Allison’s Suzuki Guitar Studio in Richmond, Virginia.
