I am from Utah, where I started Suzuki Violin at 3 1/2 yrs old. I studied with Jeanne Grover and Karen Child before graduating from Suzuki. I then studied with Jack Ashton, Marjorie Bagley, and Becky McFaul, picking up the viola somewhere along the way. I graduated from Utah State University with a Music Performance Minor. I then certified as a Suzuki Teacher at Intermountain Suzuki String Institute in Books 1-3 with Judy Bossuat and Teri Einfeldt. I have taught private lessons for 17 years.

I love to teach because I enjoy seeing my skills help others to achieve their goals, both musical and general.

I use the Suzuki Method to teach violin and viola, because I believe in making more than great musicians. From Suzuki’s own words, my goal in using the Suzuki Method is “to create noble human beings.”
