Tara Bohlen is located in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida where she teaches at 30A String Academy and performs with Panama City Pops Orchestra and Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.  Tara is a recording artist and violinist in violin rap performing group, B-L’Attitude, which has been featured as guest artist with the Bismarck Mandan Civic Chorus, TedX, live in Medora, and performing around the region.  The group has released “Ring Christmas Bells” single and music video in 2018, ”Elevated Love” full album and music video and Christmas Single and music video “Joy to the World” in 2017, and  ”Heaven’s Door” Single and Music Video in 2016. In 2016 she was voted as North Dakota’s Favorite Instrumentalist at the North Dakota Music Awards. She was solo violin artist with Bismarck Mandan Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2015.  She is member of the Sonorus String Quartet, which has been featured on television program “Prairie Musicians” on PBS and was former violist of the North Dakota String Quartet.

As a music instructor, Tara has 20 years of music teaching experience. Previously she conducted the Interlude youth orchestra of the Bismarck-Mandan Youth Symphony Orchestra and was director and instructor at, Love Attitude String Academy, teaching violin, viola, and cello as a private and group instructor to students of all ages and abilities.  Formerly, Ms. Bohlen had also served as Director of Bismarck Public School Orchestras and Century and Bismarck High School, Horizon and Simle Middle School, and Willmore Elementary School. She directed Strolling Strings Performance Group for 5 years. 

Tara and her husband Josh are raising three daughters Hannah, Taliah, and Sylvia, who all play string instruments. Tara Bohlen began studying music at age 9 with the Suzuki Method School of Music in Bismarck, ND. She is passionate about providing a nurturing learning experience and fostering a loving environment for her students through teaching the Suzuki Method that will enrich the next generation of music lovers and artists.
