Sydney Denman

Sydney has been active in the aspects of the Suzuki triangle for 40 years: Suzuki kid, Suzuki teacher, and then Suzuki mom! Her most influential teachers include Mimi Zweig, Rebecca Henry, Kenneth Goldsmith, and Sally Thomas. She is a graduate of Yale College. In addition to her Suzuki teacher training, she has also studied violin pedagogy at Indiana University with Mimi Zweig.

Sydney maintains an active studio of beginner through advanced students in beautiful Telluride, Colorado, and also performs with the Telluride String Trio. Sydney is a member of the San Juan Symphony, a section mentor of the San Juan Youth Symphony and also the Artistic Director of the Telluride Camerata, a dynamic, conductor-less chamber music ensemble comprised of the Western Colorado region’s adult string musicians and advanced young players.
