Suzuki Music Winnipeg is an extra-curricular (non-profit) music program offering Suzuki Method instruction in violin, viola and cello to children and families living in (or near) Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and families through the study of music. We seek to nurture children and build community in an atmosphere of mutual commitment and respect.

Our students attend weekly private lessons and group classes throughout the school year. Performance opportunities include two large group concerts, solo days, graduation recitals, and small group performances in the community at venues such as Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Musicians in the Making and Manitoba Chamber Orchestra pre-concert performances.

Since 1969, our program (formerly called Suzuki Talent Education Institute of Manitoba) has produced thousands of talented musicians, from students at the The Julliard School to those who develop a life-long love of music. All Suzuki Music Winnipeg teachers have received registered training through the SAA and are Active teacher members.

Group classes for violin, viola and cello occur Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm onward at Adas Yeshurun Herzlia Synagogue Inc. (620 Brock St) and Lord Selkirk School (170 Poplar Ave). A beginner violin class is also offered on Saturday mornings at Kelvin High School (155 Kingsway Ave).
