Suzanne Greer holds the Bachelor of Music in piano performance from St. Olaf College and the Master of Music in piano performance from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. She holds the Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from the University of St. Thomas and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM). From 1990 – 1991 she served as Artist-in-Residence for the Depot Outreach Artist Program in St. Louis County.

Currently, Suzanne is a full-time faculty member at the MacPhail Center for Music where she teaches both Suzuki and Traditional piano students.  Prior to teaching at MacPhail, she built the SG Studio Academy of Music in her home where she developed a strong Suzuki Parent Education Program and was awarded two Teacher Development Scholarships from the Suzuki Association of the Americas.  In 2009, she was a recipient of the Robert Schmitt Professional Development Grant from the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA) Foundation.  In 2017, she was awarded the Top Music Teacher Award from Steinway and Sons.  Her students are consistent winners in local and state competitions.

Active in both local and state professional organizations, she currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and is the St. Paul Center Representative for the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program. She has also served as President of the Minneapolis Music Teachers Forum and the Suzuki Piano Teachers Guild. In addition, she performs regularly on the Artist Series of Thursday Musical. From 2014—2018, she participated in the Northwest Master Class in Seattle, Washington where she studied under Maestro Daniel Pollack.

Her principle teachers include Mary Ann Swallum, David Brunell, Paul Shaw, and Katherine Faricy.
