Sue grew up in Indianapolis, IN learning the Suzuki Method beginning at age 4. She was amazed with the violin and the incredible ability of children to learn the language of music. She began her private studio and taught private lessons for the Indianapolis Public Schools. She attended Indiana University and Purdue University. She played with the Indianapolis Philharmonic Orchestra where her favorite concert was for the Star Wars II Convention.

She moved with her husband and maintained private studios in Asheville, NC, Pittsburgh, PA, and Walton, NY.

Sue now enjoys teaching in Kansas with her private home studio. She is fortunate to coordinate concerts with the Topeka Studio Strings, a community local Suzuki teachers. She plays with the Helianthus Quartet and Washburn Community Orchestra and adjudicates for the Cair Paravel Latin School Private School Arts Competition. She is continuing her education at Washburn University.

She has two boys and two girls who are now in middle school-college. They have taught her life lessons, the beauty of music and how music can touch souls. They work hard to find practice time, like every busy family, but she loves hearing the sounds of viola, percussion, double bass, and violin around the house.

When Sue is not teaching, she loves to design ballet costumes and play volleyball.
