Shu-Yi Scott, holds a DMA in cello performance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Scott, originally from Taipei, Taiwan, has given master classes, seminars and performances in the States, Taipei, Mexico, and Europe. She is a group class technique fellow and has been involved in developing GCT training with Cary Beth Hockett. In May 2015, Dr. Shu-Yi Scott was awarded the Certificate of Achievement by the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Her hobbies include gardening, sourdough baking , language learning and travel. Shu-Yi also has a great passion for music learning and parenting. She lives in Austin, Texas with her bass player husband and homeschools both her daughters Euna, and Lydie, both play the cello.
