A Nashville native, Sherry Francis Merideth holds a B.M. magna cum laude in Violin Performance and Music Education from DePaul University and an M.M. in Violin Performance from Belmont University. While at Belmont, she was concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra and performed with the Graduate String Quartet. The cornerstone of her graduate recital was the Bach Chaconne, an almost twenty minute unaccompanied masterpiece performed from memory. Since graduation, she has performed with a variety of regional orchestras, gone on three regional tours (two on violin and one on viola) with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, recorded Gaither Homecoming Videos, played chamber music for dozens of special events, and led string worship ensembles at area churches.

Sherry Francis Merideth has a vibrant private teaching studio in the Brentwood area and at Lipscomb Academy. She also teaches adjunct at Trevecca Nazarene University and is the String Specialist and Orchestra Director for the W.O.Smith Summer Music Resident Camp. Her students are known for being active, valued members of school and youth orchestras throughout the Middle Tennessee area and are consistently accepted into area honor orchestras and summer programs. One of her greatest passions in teaching is inspiring students to reach the next level in their violin playing and artistry by discovering their own musical interests and instincts. She has extensive pedagogical training in Suzuki and traditional methods. She has taught music classes, private lessons, and workshops at the elementary, middle, high school and collegiate level, both online and in-person.

Sherry Francis Merideth is married to Tyler Merideth, a fellow musician and music educator. They have three young children.
