I am a Suzuki violin teacher and artist living in Redmond, Washington. I started studying the violin as a Suzuki student at age 7 and earned a Bachelors Degree in violin performance from Western Washington University in 2006. In 2012 I earned a Masters in Arts Education from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby B.C where I studied application of the Suzuki Method to visual arts education. I worked in Guatemala from 2006-2009 teaching violin and art and giving recitals and lectures. I currently run a large Suzuki studio out of my home in Redmond, Washington and serve as President of the Suzuki Association of Washington State.

I am deeply committed to the Suzuki philosophy of character development through music education. Having grown up as a student of the Suzuki Method, and through my experience as a teacher, I feel confident in the power of the Suzuki Method to develop children’s character, sensitivity, and ability to learn while simultaneously providing a rigorous music education of the highest caliber.
