I’ve never been good at writing about myself, and I think my students say it best, so here’s what my students say about lessons with me:

“I’ve become so much more responsible since I started taking violin lessons, so I want to thank you for that.  And also for making violin class really fun, except for all the homework.”
-Kerry, age 7

“Dear Sharon, thank you for being the best teacher a violinist can have!  I love to play the violin with you.  Playing the violin with you always makes it so much more fun!  I think violin suites me very well and you are the reason for it to be so great.”
-Nadia, age 8

“Great job everyone, you all did fantastic! My dad is non stop talking about our performance :D Awesome job Sharon for being able to put all of this together. I had fun!”
-Amy, age 14 (regarding Chamber Group performance)

And of course I couldn’t do it without the amazing parents who are so dedicated to their children’s education. Hear from the parents in my studio:

“Thank you for a wonderful year! You are a wonderful teacher who exudes excitement, teaches patience along with precision & shares a love for learning. We could not have asked for a better teacher to start Dara on her musical education. Thank you.”
-Shirah & Brian

“Dear Sharon, Thank you for another great year working with Caroline. Your patience and kindness in your teaching style has been such a treat for her.”

“Thank you so much for helping Fiona move forward. She has improved an incredible amount.”

“Thanks for all your hard work and kindness through these years.  You continue to have a profound and positive impact on them well beyond music.  Words seem to only diminish the magnitude of your steadfast kindness, care, and influence through these years.  Thank you for your continued guidance and inspiration for the children.  You have been an integral part in encouraging them to seek a higher potential trajectory, and clearly your continued genuine support is much appreciated.”

“Nadia is growing in leaps and bounds, we’re so happy.  We thank you so very much for all your work with Nadia, sending her well on a path to becoming a life-long violinist and lover of music.  She is making such progress and finds much satisfaction in being a violinist.”

“My 12 year old’s first private lessons with Sharon have had immediate, noticeable improvement both playing and practicing. Sharon’s careful analysis of Amy’s level and ability has let her design both constructive lessons and homework. Amy looks forward to seeing Sharon.  Great Teacher!!

“Sharon is extremely talented at teaching young kids. “She makes things easy to understand!” Lucas said about his teacher one day.  Sharon also puts her heart into making things fun—the recital last year was a memorable experience for the kids.  In addition, Sharon is always kind and encouraging.  She is also very flexible with the scheduling, which is very helpful for a busy mom like me who has to juggle between many different activities.”
