**Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Shao-Che (Sean) started playing the violin from the young age of five. Growing up, Sean participated in many national music competitions, and often as prize winners. Sean moved to New York City at the age of thirteen to pursue a career as a violinist, he studied under both Prof. I-Hao Lee and Prof. Hyo Kang in The Juilliard Precollege. Sean recently graduated from The Juilliard School under the guidance of Prof. Masao Kawasaki. He has participated and advanced as semi-finalists in The Wieniawski international violin competition for young violinists and The Tchaikovsky Violin Competition for Young Musicians. Sean is the 2021 recipient of the Mark Zinger Memorial Foundation Scholarship. He is currently pursuing his masters degree this fall at DePaul University under the tutelage of Prof. I-Hao Lee.
