Mr. Scott A. Spencer
Scott Spencer began his study of the guitar in 1976 with Wynn Smith, head of the classical guitar department at Seattle Pacific University (SPU). He later won entrance with honors to SPU. He also studied with Patricio Contrerras, adjunct professor at Seattle Central Community College. Patricio was a graduate of the Conservatory of Music of Madrid. Scott, with the help of Patricio, went to study with Jose Tomas in Alicante, Spain. Scott is a graduate of the University of Washington and is presently studying with Michael Partington, head of the guitar program at the University of Washington. Scott started his Suzuki course work at the Longay Conservatory of Guitar in Santa Clara, California,in 2009 under the tutelage of Frank Longay, founder and director of the conservator. Scott has taken further course work with Mary Lou Roberts in Ann Arbor MI.
Scott teaches at his home studio in Bothell Washington, just North of Seattle, and close to the communities of Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Woodinville.
