Sarah Mbi has an active Suzuki piano studio in Springfield VA. Having five different teachers before high school sparked her lifelong fascination with different learning styles.  She strives to teach each student as an individual while working to inspire both their creative and physical gifts. Teaching adults and children since 2002, she is also a licensed early childhood Musikgarten instructor and has experience working with special needs students. Every year, Sarah looks forward to teaching living-history music camps and coaching student concerto and chamber music concerts with local musicians.  Sarah is on the faculty of the annual Colorado Suzuki Institute, has done research in hymnology at Oxford University, England, and is an active accompanist.   She holds a BM in piano performance from Covenant College, and an MM in piano pedagogy and performance from George Mason University where she trained in Russian technique with Anna Balakerskaia. She is an active member of the NVMTA and SAA.
