Mrs. Sarah Liv Lane

Raised on a farm in Upstate New York, Sarah was surrounded by a loving family and a wonderful Suzuki community. She began Suzuki piano lessons at age 6 and graduated from Book 7 when she was 16. Sarah had two exceptional Suzuki teachers who inspired and motivated her, and by the time she was 12, she knew she wanted to be a Suzuki piano teacher. A native of Colombia, Sarah is fluent in English and Spanish. She loves baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband. Sarah and her husband also welcomed their first baby in October of 2018!

After teaching in Chicago at two private Suzuki schools, Sarah and her husband relocated to Maine in February 2018. She is currently accepting new students at her apartment in southern Maine.

Sarah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology with a piano emphasis in Chicago, Illinois. She took her “Every Child Can” course in Illinois with Dr. Tanya Carey, and received her Suzuki book training at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA, studying under Caroline Fraser. She is passionate about using the Suzuki Method to educate the next generation of classically trained musicians.
